Edwardsville Council 1143 is located at 7132 Marine Road, Edwardsville, Illinois 62025 about 15 miles East of St. Louis Missouri.
It was chartered on July 15th, 1906 only 24 years after the first Knights of Columbus Council was founded by Fr. Michael J. McGivney at St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Connecticut. The council's first Grand Knight and Chaplain were E. C. Ferguson and Reverend C.A. O'Reilly. Its Charter membership consisted of 61 men from local churches. Most of our members are made up of citizens from Edwardsville and Glen Carbon. The Edwardsville 4th Degree Assembly 0225, Daughters of Isabella O'Reilly Circle and Fred Mills Home Corporation are established within the council home. Edwardsville Council has over 290 active members and is a strong and active council in council, church, community, youth and family activities.
